TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based soccer program that is designed to meet the needs of children with physical and/or mental disabilities. Player participation and development are key elements of the program. TOPSoccer is designed to improve the overall fitness, self-esteem and social skills of your child.

Just a reminder that due to the Labor Day Holiday we will not be having TOPSoccer practice on September 5th. Practices will return on Sunday September 12th.

On-line registration is now open for Fall 2010. Parents with players 18 and under please access the system by clicking here.

Players aged 19 and up will need to print off the paper registration form located here.

Volunteer Jason Russo  received the KYSA TOPSoccer Buddy of the Year Award on Saturday, August 14.  He was recognized for his “outstanding contributions to youth soccer in Kentucky.”  League Director Jessie Birdwhistell and Volunteer Coordinator Janice Birdwhistell also attended the luncheon. Lexington, KY—August 10, 2010—LYSA TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) has received a Chevrolet Youth Soccer Program sponsorship for 2010. The national program will be administered locally by Rod Hatfield Chevrolet, in Lexington. A statement from the dealership underlined its support of LYSA TOPSoccer.

Birdwhistell Wins Paul Kevin Burberry Award

University of Kentucky Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities announced Jessie Birdwhistell is the 2010 winner of the Paul Kevin Burberry Award, given annually to a UK student who has demonstrated exemplary leadership and advocacy in working with children, youth or adults with developmental disabilities.

Free school supplies will be handed out to school age children accompanied by an adult.

Supplies such as pencils, crayons, markers, paper, etc. will be handed out by vendors.
